Best birthday ever so far! Things get better when you least expect things. If my students could read this, I love you guys. These are one of those very, tiny, short, minuscule times when I’m glad to be your teacher. I hope it’s always my birthday so y’all are sweet and nice. Come tomorrow I know y’all go back to your “normal” selves. Woe is me. I’mma start kicking your asses again.

One day I brought my cousin’s laptop to school and my third grade student saw that it has the Sherlock Holmes movie on it. He got so excited and he’d been bugging me to play the movie. He says it’s one of his favorite movies.

I taught my students agaw-base (a modified game of tag). Bless their souls for not knowing anything but computer games. So yesterday my students asked me to join them since one team is missing a member.

It was so much fun.

So Math, my archnemesis, we meet again!

One reason why I took English as my major is to finally get rid myself of Mathematics. Though it seems that Math will never be entirely out of my life and thus, presently, I just have to have a crash course on Math for the sake of my student.

When was the last time I studied math? I think that was more or less five years ago.

To my dearly beloved student, please appreciate the fact that I’m doing this for you. In return, I ask that you exert the same amount of effort in your studies.

Haha, ang cute kasi nila. Hahahaha. Kaso sabi kasi nung student kong boy, secret lang namin yon. So kunyari deny to death pa ang lolo mo habang yung girl eh kilig to the max dun sa crush nya tuwing nababanggit. Ouch. Wawa naman yung student ko. Hahaha. Kinabog ang mga teleserye.

So my students are now slowly warming up to me. I had to cancel our Science class to make way for an unexpected open forum (because really, spontaneity is starting to be my best friend) and I now had to exercise my role as the class adviser-slash-guidance counselor.

I talked to them one-by-one and I even made one student confess that he had a crush on his fellow classmate and that the reason for his bastardly behavior is that he’s jealous of another boy who has earned the favor of his own crush. So he’s trying to get the girl’s attention by being a prick. Waaaahahaha. And so, I suddenly became Dr. Love. XD

I don’t know if my student noticed that I kept on smiling as he confesses his feelings towards his classmate. Ako pa ang kilig to the bones! :D

Ha… and so today, I was suddenly asked to be the MC for a school program. UNREHEARSED. UNSCRIPTED. UN-PROGRAMMED.
